Pevonia Skincare Review

I always get so excited when I get to try new skincare products since my skin is extremely sensitive and sadly, not many products work as I wish they would. So, a little bit of smart experimenting is always a good idea to attempt to find good products that could potentially work for my skin type.

In the mist of the winter months, I was happy to come across Pevonia, a new skincare brand I have heard about, but never actually tried. I am currently trying three of their products, especially designed for sensitive skin.

About the Brand

Pevonia is a worldwide leader in professional skincare that launched in 1991. The brand is widely recognized for using the most effective and safest skincare ingredients using natural ingredients. The company was the first company to develop a Spa Skincare Line exclusively created for elite spas and professional aestheticians. Today, Pevonia continues to be a global leader in the skincare industry by combining decades of experience with effective, safe and natural ingredients.

Pevonia products are formulate without SLS, GMOs, PABA, Urea, Lanolin, Cruelty, Formaldehyde, Alcohol, Parabens, Mineral Oil, Gluten, Artificial Colors/Fragrance.

The Products

Sensitive Skin Cleanser

The Sensitive Skin Cleanser is a creamy cleanser that gently cleanses and removes accumulated impurities including makeup without causing redness and irritation. The formula of this cleanser is a cream-like and it took me a second to adapt to it. I am a huge fan of foaming cleansers and when I first tried this one I did not like it. I initially used just one pump, and I felt like it did not fully cleaned my face. After giving it a few more tries while using the right amount of product (more than one pump), I finally got used to it and realized how well of a job it does at leaving my face clean, calmed, and fresh, without any type of irritation. The formula is creamy and thick.  I have to use multiple pumps of product, (2 or 3) to actually feel my face as clean I love. With my foaming cleansers, I only need a dime size of product for my whole face. As for the packaging, it has a very good pump that works great at delivering the product. I have been using this product morning and evening.

The sensitive skin cleanser is indicated for sensitive, hypersensitive or allergy-prone skin that gets red and easily irritated which fits me pretty well (per Pevonia’s website product description).  I just wish it was foamy instead of creamy, but that’s just a personal preference.

This product retails for $32.00 and you get 6.8 ounces of product.

Sensitive Skin Lotion

I am not sure why this product is called a “lotion” and not a toner, because a toner is exactly what this product is. I use the Sensitive Skin Lotion right after using the sensitive skin cleanser. I take a cotton moist of the lotion and I wipe it throughout my face and neck morning and evening to tone, control, and soothe my skin’s sensitivity. This product claims to remove irritating tap water impurities, calm skin, control redness and irritation, and strengthen capillaries with a soothing, alcohol-free formula. And I personally feel like it does what it claims, my face feels extremely refreshed and soothed after using it. In addition, this product prepares my face very well for my next skincare steps (serum, moisturizer, ect). It has a fresh and clean scent that I truly enjoy. Many other toners I have used in the past have felt irritating on my skin from the very first application, this one instead felt gentle and soothing from the very first time that I used it and this is huge for me.

The sensitive skin lotion is indicated for sensitive, hypersensitive or allergy-prone skin that gets red and easily irritated. It is also great as a healing after-shaving and for those who need extra hydration during the day (per Pevonia’s website product description).

This product retails for $31.50 and you get 6.8 ounces of product.

Soothing Propolis Concentrate

The Soothing Propolis Concentrate is a gel-based serum and my favorite product of the three discussed in this post. This lightweight serum feels luxurious and refreshing when applied to the skin. I use it right after I use the sensitive skin lotion to hydrate, soothe, and calm my sensitive skin. This product works amazing at calming the skin, reducing redness, and at healing any current breakouts.

The formula is a lightweight gel that gives my skin an instant pick me up with a refreshing-cooling effect. I use two pumps of product with every application and I love how it sinks within minutes and my skin seems to really love it. I use this product mainly in the morning as I use a serum with a thicker consistency during the night time.

This product does exactly what it claims, it soothes, hydrates, reduces redness and helps heal any existing breakouts or skin irritation. The winter has been rough on my sensitive skin, but having this product by my side has really helped me keep my skin clear from breakouts, soothed and hydrated. I have noticed less dryness, less redness, and no breakouts at all while using it.

The Soothing Propolis Concentrate is indicated for sensitive, hypersensitive and allergy-prone skin, for skin that is fragile, skin that gets red or easily irritated, for individuals that have occasional breakouts. In addition, this product is also great to treat burns, waxing or for those on harsh acne medications (per Pevonia’s website product description).

It retails for $72.50 and you get 1.0 ounces of product. It is a very expensive product, but serums tend to be expensive as they are a powerful and a crucial element of every skincare routine. If you have normal skin, you probably have ton of product options to choose from. However, someone with sensitive skin like me, does not have as many options (at least that’s how I personally feel), so finding a product that works great on my skin without causing irritation and no breakouts is a total win win for me.

As for the packaging, it comes in a pretty glass bottle with a very fun to use pump that delivers just the right amount of product.

Overall, I am really enjoying these products and I’m thrilled to see how well my skin is adapting to them. These are products you can definitely live without, but if you have sensitive skin and you have been wanting to find soothing and hydrating products that deliver truly gentle results, then it is worth to check out these products at pevonia.com.

As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts on these products and thank you so much for taking the time to read.
